It&#8217;s a straight line. A very straight line.<\/p>\n<p>Not only is it testament to the experimental rigour of the studies included in the review but it&#8217;s also pretty developmentally odd- I mean what else develops linearly? Height doesn&#8217;t. Vocabularly use doesn&#8217;t. Number conservation doesn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>Does anything else develop linearly? There must be so many non-linear processes involved in the neural development of vision it&#8217;s a marvel it comes out linear with respect to age.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.idiolect.org.uk\/docs\/jun04\/infantacuity.jpg?w=580\"><\/p>\n<p><font-size: 11px><br \/>\n[1] Courage, M.L., and Adams, R.J.
