The 11,000 rejection slips were only from agents, editors and publishers over the course of a few weeks in April of 2004. If I tried to calculate the number over the past forty years my brain would break. Now I’m collecting rejection slips from book critics, booksellers, librarians and college professors. Thanks. G.
