I lived with Sheldon Brown’s daughter in Santa Cruz, and rode one of his bikes – he had massive cranks for her to be able to power up all the hills around there, and it was a small frame, so I kept hitting my clown feet on the front wheel. But it was still an awesome ride.
Sheldon died very recently, but he even was nice enough to appear in a mockumentary we were making about the invasion of ringworm into the co-op.
Oh and w/r/t Common Errors in English, there are a lot of interesting issues hidden in some of those simple platitudes. Try searching on the American Dialect Society for ‘grey and gray’ for example. Many people believe those are two different colo(u)rs…
